Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Sudoku Games at https://sudokugames.online. By using the site you agree to them. They are deliberately short, because the site is a free puzzle game and there is not much to agree about.
1. Using the site
The game is free to use, for personal enjoyment, with no account required. You may play as much as you like. You may not:
- Attempt to disrupt the site, its servers, or other people's use of it — including automated flooding of the leaderboard endpoint.
- Submit leaderboard entries generated by a script or by modifying the game, rather than by playing.
- Submit nicknames that are abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, or that impersonate another person.
- Use the site in any way that breaks the law where you are.
We may remove any leaderboard entry, at any time, without notice, and may block access from addresses that abuse the service.
2. Leaderboard submissions
Posting a score is optional. By posting one you grant us permission to display the nickname and result publicly on this site for as long as that board exists. Entries are removed automatically when their board expires. If you want one removed sooner, email contact@sudokugames.online.
Scores are recalculated on our server from the reported details of your run, so a modified client cannot simply post an arbitrary number. This is not a tamper-proof system and we make no guarantee that every entry on a board was honestly earned. Treat the leaderboard as a friendly scoreboard, not a competitive record.
3. Content and intellectual property
The design, code, and written guides on this site are ours. You may link to any page freely and quote short passages with attribution. Do not republish whole pages or deploy a copy of the site.
Sudoku itself is a public-domain puzzle concept. The individual puzzle grids you play are generated algorithmically on your own device and we claim no rights over them.
4. Advertising
The site is funded by advertising served by third parties, principally Google AdSense. We do not control which specific advertisements appear and we do not endorse advertised products or services. Any dealing you have with an advertiser is between you and them. See the privacy policy for how advertising cookies are handled.
5. Availability
The site is provided as-is and as-available. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it — including the leaderboard — at any time. Games saved in your browser are your responsibility; clearing your browser data will delete them and we cannot recover them.
6. Disclaimer and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sudoku Games is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do, and continuing to use the site afterwards means you accept the update.
